Adaptable Tactics | Changing The Venue

Sound tactics should work in about every situation, however not all situations will your tactics work flawlessly. Training tactical principles will save you while working in unfamiliar territory such as clearing a structure for the first time that your team has never seen before.

Often, I have seen teams make up a “special tactic” for a room or structure in their training venue. Your “special” tactic will work flawlessly because you have cleared that room or structure a thousand times. This is not realistic! That's where training as a team and having good tactical principles will allow you to win in any situation. It is imperative that you test your tactics in multiple venues to achieve operational success.
